salmon or trout recipe filet made in the oven

Baked Salmon with Mayonnaise

Our favorite baked salmon or trout filet recipe with a tasty mayonnaise coating. The recipe is healthy, very easy to prepare and the fish always remains juicy and flavorful.
In the summertime, I recommend preparing the recipe on the grill, but the same juicy and good result can be obtained by cooking it in the oven.

Ingredients

  • 1 salmon or trout filet ~500g
  • 1 small onion
  • 3 tablespoons of light mayonnaise
  • 1-2 sprigs of fresh dill
  • ½ lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Remove the fish bones from the fish filet with tweezers or small pliers.
  • Chop the dill and onion as finely as possible and add them to the mixing bowl with the mayonnaise. Season the sauce with salt, pepper and a pinch of freshly squeezed lemon juice and mix well.
  • Season the fish filet with ground salt and pepper and squeeze a little lemon juice over it.
  • When grilling, it is recommended to place the fish filet on a foil grill tray, while cooking in the oven either on a ceramic tray or on a baking sheet covered with baking paper.
  • Spread the mayonnaise sauce evenly over the fish filet.
  • Bake the fish at 200° in a preheated oven or grill for 20 minutes.
  • You can use a little chopped dill as a garnish, and fresh salad, rice or boiled and baked potatoes are good as a side dish. Bon Appetit!
