Tasty Sriracha Mayo Sauce Recipe
Overview
Making your own healthy and super tasty sriracha mayo couldn’t be easier with this simple recipe. Sriracha mayo is an incredibly tasty sauce to use with burgers, tacos, wraps, salads, fries, poke bowls and basically any other of your favorite savory dishes. This recipe is done in a healthier version with less calories, but I will also share tips on how to create it according to your personal preferences.
Ingredients for a Sriracha Mayo Sauce
- Sriracha sauce: Sriracha sauce by its own is already a popular and tasty sauce but as it has a quite strong and unique flavor which isn’t the most universal option, we’ve understood that mixing it with other ingredients will just take it to a next level of sauces. For this recipe I’m using the regular original Sriracha sauce but you’re welcome to try out any of their different flavors as well to spice things up.
- Mayonnaise: For this recipe we’re going with a light-mayo option as it contains less calories and makes the sauce feel a bit lighter. Optionally you can use regular mayo if you’re not counting calories, or a vegan mayo for a vegan alternative which are quite easy to find these days.
- Lemon juice: Freshly squeezed lemon juice will compliment the Sriracha Mayo sauce with a fresh and sour kick of taste.
- Garlic: Use one clove of garlic to press it into a paste or alternatively give it a fine chop so it mixes evenly with the sauce.
- Parsley: Parsley will give the sauce some freshness next to the spicy & sour flavors and a kick of vibrant green color which makes it feel a bit more elegant than a regular sauce. Both finely chopped fresh parsley or regular dried parsley will work great and you can use which one you personally prefer.
How to Make Sriracha Mayo
- Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl: Add 1 cup of mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of Sriracha sauce to a mixing bowl. Squeeze the juice of ¼ of a fresh lemon, the paste from 1 pressed garlic clove and the parsley together with the previous ingredients.
- Mix the ingredients in the mixing bowl: Stir all the ingredients with a spoon until the Sriracha Mayo is evenly mixed.
- Serve with your favorite dish or store in a container or sauce bottle for later use.
