any of your preferred seasonings before placing the chicken on the pan
Dried parsley or other herbssprinkle on after the chicken before serving
A knob of butteron the pan once you’ve turned the heat to medium
Instructions
Use a meat mallet/tenderizer to pound the chicken breast into an even thickness
Season the chicken breast evenly on both sides with grounded salt and pepper
Add olive oil to the pan and get the pan hot.
Place chicken breast into the pan and sear on high heat on both sides for 2 minutes until a nice sear and caramelization is reached
Lower the heat to medium and let the chicken cook for an additional 1 minute on each side.(Optionally can add a knob of butter in this step for more flavor)
Let the chicken breast rest on a cutting board for a minute or two.
Serve the chicken breast in one piece or cut it into even slices next to any of your preferred side dishes.
